Welcome to my very first blog post!
An introduction to me and my little family! We are a family of 5 plus a dog living in the leafy hills of outer Melbourne. My journey into parenthood was rocky to say the least, and I lost myself for quite a few years. Through re-igniting my love of exercise and fitness, I’ve found myself, my good habits and pushed myself to my limits through F45 training and more recently signing up for Hyrox 2024 and returning to running.
My family means the world to me, and to be the best mum I can, I need my daily mental health space – my gym time. To recharge myself and get that rush of endorphins. It keeps me on track with eating right and truely makes me feel better within myself.
My background is in graphic design and I have a true love of all things creative. After having my family I know I cannot return to working in this field, it needs to remain as a passion and my love. I’ve dabbled in sewing (even selling some handmade clothes and cloth nappies as a side hustle), I knit, crochet, paint, draw, and craft!
I’m currently a stay at home mum, and my partner is a shift worker who finds out what shift he is working the day before – so planning anything (work wise or otherwise) is truely challenging – but the pay off is we also get to have him home a lot as well. We take the good with the bad! I’m currently upskilling in holistic sleep coaching and am looking forward to getting a career started in supporting families with all things to do with sleep and more.
Another one of my many passions is baking and cooking. I love learning new recipes and have a lot of tried and tested recipes I’m excited to share. Whether it’s lunchbox fillers (cost of living has me baking all of the lunchbox treats!), hidden veggie meal ideas for fussy kids (my older two are fussy eaters!), or healthy, balanced meals that can be batch cooked and frozen for easy grab and go lunches and dinners when you’re time poor!
My children are currently 5.5, 3.5 and 1. Miss 5.5 started prep this year, and has been thriving. Mr 3.5 started kindy and is equally loving every second of it. And my baby, my little love just turned 1…when your last baby turns one it hits differently!
So welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I’ll be sharing my fitness journey, my tried and tested recipes, some creativity, and general musings on mum life!
